Featuring next generation technology, our laser tag games are great for kids, teens, families, and groups looking for active fun. Laser tag is an immersive indoor experience with multiple game modes including teams, free for all, and objective based play.

NOTE: The laser tag arena does have flashing lights! If you or your child are sensitive to flashing light overstimulation, laser tag may not be the game for you.

Step into a neon‑lit underwater world where mini golf meets ocean exploration. Under black light, the nine-hole course comes alive with brilliant sea creatures, bold colors, and larger‑than‑life décor. Putt your way past glowing fish, beneath a massive manta ray, and alongside unexpected nautical elements that add charm and challenge to every hole. With nine creatively designed holes, the course offers a relaxed yet engaging experience that’s as visually stunning as it is fun to play.

What we offer:

Complimentary Coaching- If you’ve never thrown an axe before, have no fear! Our coaches will brief you on safety and guide you through the throwing process, offering tips and tricks along the way. At Rendezvous, bullseyes are for everyone!

Beginner friendly end-grain targets make throwing a breeze. You’ll spend less time picking your axe off the ground and more time SCORING!

Multiple game modes- We use projectors to display our targets and we have a variety of game modes to play! Choose from a standard bullseye, Tic Tac Toe, Catchphrase, Alien Attack, Cricket, Bowling, and more! The best part, there is ZERO upcharge for all this fun, it’s all included with your hour(or more!) of throwing.

Great Food and Drink! We serve house-made pizza, wings, and other popular appetizers. We have a growing beer and wine menu as well, with local, national and international brews!

Our Story

Shining Light Entertainment is a vibrant, all in one entertainment venue offering laser tag, blacklight mini golf, and axe throwing in a fun and welcoming space. Created to be a light in the community, Shining Light exists to provide a safe and positive place where kids and teens can have fun, connect with friends, and stay active, while adults enjoy exciting experiences of their own through axe throwing for guests ages 18 and up.

Shining Light Entertainment was founded by Sarah and Jason Miller and their family, longtime foster parents with a deep heart for children and community. After Sarah connected with Victoria Hibma, owner of the established local business Rendezvous Axe Throwing, they discovered a shared vision rooted in faith, encouragement, and bringing people together. Rather than competing, the Millers and Hibmas chose to merge their businesses and build something better together.

Through this collaboration, Rendezvous Axe Throwing joined Shining Light Entertainment, bringing projected axe throwing lanes, one on one coaching, and guest favorite menu items. These experiences now complement the ocean themed nine hole blacklight mini golf course and next generation laser tag arena, making Shining Light a complete entertainment center for families, groups, and the entire Willmar area.

FAQ

Do I need an adult?

If you’re over 12, you can leave your parents at home! You will need to wear closed-toe shoes to participate in any of the activities. Sandals are great outside, but they don’t work when you’re playing laser tag, putting, or throwing an axe! Safety First. It’s important to know that all guests entering Shining Light Entertainment must complete a digital safety waiver, even if they are not playing. Waivers are completed online or on our onsite iPads. We do not sell or share your email information.

Who can play?

Anyone! Well, almost. Black Light Mini Golf is open to anyone 4 and older. It’s important to safely control a putter and tap a golf ball. Laser Tag is available to anyone 7 and older. Axe Throwing is for anyone 16+. This is where your older siblings and parents come to play!

Is there anything scary?

Mini Golf and Laser Tag are both black light games. The course and arena are dark. Laser Tag has flashing lights that may cause oversimulation in sensitive participants. There is nothing that jumps out or scares you in either of these spaces.

Do I need to wear anything special?

We’ve mentioned a few times the importance of closed-toe shoes. Sandals are not allowed in any of the activities. Laser tag and mini golf are black light spaces. Whites and bright colors will glow! If you want to play laser tag in stealth mode, make sure you dress dark.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

Nope! We have putters, glow golf balls, laser tag equipment, and even throwing axes! Please don’t bring outside equipment. We have everything you will need. We do ask that everyone wears closed-toe shoes to prevent slips, trips, and stubbed toes.

How long is a round of laser tag?

Each round of laser tag is approximately 15 minutes. Up to 20 people can play at a time.

Do I need to know how to throw an axe?

We coach all groups that come in. We have tips and tricks to get everyone to stick it! Bullseyes are for Everyone!

How does axe throwing work?

Each group is assigned a lane. Our lanes are 12′ in length with a 4′ safety area behind. Targets are projected and there are a variety of target setting to choose from.

How long does axe throwing take?

Typically, it takes about an hour but it depends on the size of your party and how focused or relaxed your throwing party is. We offer great food and beer to make your experience even better!

Do you have throwing knives or stars?

No, we do not. We decided to have just 1 awesome sharp object but master it.

Can we bring outside food or beverage?

Sometimes. We have an excellent menu that includes food, beer, seltzers, and soda. If you are planning on hosting your birthday, we would love to celebrate with you! Birthday cakes that come from a licensed bakery are welcome. You will need to bring serving utensils, plates, and forks if you bring in a cake. Homemade treats need to stay home.

Can we bring in our own party decorations?

If you’ve booked a private party, we would love for you to make the community space your own during your party. Table covers, balloons, and other decorations are welcome. However, glitter, confetti, and anything that requires additional clean-up is not allowed and will incur additional charges.
